I live in SE Iowa and 95% of all corn is in and probably 45% of soybean planting completed. It's cold and it's dry by our standards! I'm only 50 years old, but it wasn't that long ago that we were just getting started good the 1st of May. A lot of corn has been in the ground for almost a month and not emerged yet. A couple of bean fields that were planted early and emerged have been froze off and will have to be replanted. I think sometimes we just get in too big a hurry and need to slow down a little. If it doesn't warm up and rain a little this week, I think a bunch of replanting will need to be done!
