I have a 4600 built in Belgium. It came from Holland and has 13.6X38 radials. The wheels are hughe and the rubber part is very thin (kinda like the Ford n series front wheel with a 19" wheel and a 4" wide tire...all metal and no rubber). Makes it nice when you have to re-rubber however. I think if you put standard American tires on these 38" wheels the tractor would be way off the ground. I agree that if you are putting normally available rubber on (in the US) that you need to reduce the wheel diameter cause the rubber adds so much to the overall diameter. Other thought is to get a different drawbar. I took the drawbar off my MF 35 cause I didn't need it and put it on the 4600 cause it came without one. It is offset and you can pick up 3 or so inches that way. Just happen to have a Ford 4000 spec sheet in front of me and it says that ground clearance under the tranny housing is supposed to be 17.3 inches. Height to top of steering wheel, 63, over the hood, 57.5. Might give you an idea as to where you are. Mark

When dealing with thinner metals like sheet tin, a long bolt and
