Pony Engine Support...

Just received an engine support (serial #2743) and it is casting/part # 850000M1. The original was # 850000M2. The original is a 1951 MH Pony, the other part is from a 1949. What is the difference between the M1 and M2??? My parts book shows it as 850000M21 !!! I"m hoping it is a direct change out. Thanks for any input.........Stan
