one time on our White 2-105, the pressure plate actually rusted to the flywheel. took lots an lots of PB Blaster and time to get it seperated. we almost used a torch to loosten it up, but didnt want to damage flywheel. we do use the lock that you discribe. before we replaced the white clutch, we didnt think they did much good, but we were kind of wrong
