The same caution goes for any kind of machinery with moving parts. Dad often likes to wear a quilted flannel shirt, not tucked in, as a light jacket. He's done it for years and never thought twice about it til winter before last. He was doing some lathe work and the tale got caught and wound up in the lead screw. It pulled him down toward the bed of the lathe til it got so tight it ripped the seams out of the shirt before he could get it shut off. When it ripped he was able to pull away so, fortunately, it didn't hurt him beyond some bruising. He's been running machine tools for years and knew all the deal about loose clothing but that day all that knowledge got driven home in just a second all because he got complacent.
