Allan drive 25 minutes north of effinburg and you will find Lake Shelbyville this will keep you all busy the deer in Eagle creek will walk up to your car and eat twinkees out of his hand. Or if you like corvettes on RT-45 about 2 miles north of I-70 there is a vette place that has several on display to go check out. And in southern ILL watch for deer as big as cows from I-24 north to Mt Vernon they grow big in those hills and I have nailed many there on 57 with a big truck mostly at night. And if you got time you can drive about an hour and 15 minutes west to ST Louis and find bass pro a good place to waste time or stop by the Budweiser brewery that will entertain the heck out of you
