Not really but it was real close. The line or edge was about I 55 on the west side. I only live about 14 miles east of I 55 so I was right on the edge. (about 40 miles northwest of N.O.) We did get some rain and a little wind but nothing more than a strong thunder storm would bring. It came in about due south of us at Grand Isle and was predicted to come right over us. Just in time it took a unpredicted turn to the east and went just under and to the east of New Orleans. We were out the night of the storm trying to fill our stations (gas/diesel) in case the racks were to go down. When we went down to N.O. to load it was raining and windy pretty bad but up here by the house/station it was dry. At midnight we packed it in and went home as the weather in N.O. was getting to bad. A lot in N.O. lost power and had tree limbs down. East and south of N.O. got hit worse.
