DCM: Frost and Wood did indeed become part of the Cockshutt Co. in a buy out. It was bought by Cockshutt to broaden their product line. The final products with Frost and Wood decals were painted in Cockshutt orange and yellow. I think Frost and Wood may have use other colors before buy out. I have a seeder, no name, that I belive to be Frost and Wood, has traces of a pale green on it. Here is one item I do know which may give you a time frame. My dad bought a new manure spreader around 1940, it had Frost and Wood decals and painted Cockshutt orange and yellow. A neighbor had the same spreader about 5 years newer, same colors only with Cockshutt decals. I am also curious about this as well. Always wondered what color schemes Frost and Wood may have used.
