A local dealer has an IH 234 tractor on his lot, and before I waste his time and mine, I'm kinda curious as to what I can find out about it. It's physically smaller than a regular Cub, and it has a diesel engine and 3-point hitch...as well as a Woods 35 belly mower. From the construction style, I'm assuming it to be Japanese manufacture, possibly Kubota. The tractor's showing just over 1100 hours on it. I haven't heard it run, so I don't know what kinda shape it's in, mechanically...but the sheet metal isn't abused, it's only faded red. I was thinking this might make a good little pasture tender for Mom's horse operation, which is about 10 acres when you allow for the pond, the barn lot, and the house. Any idea what one of these little critters usually sell for, and whether they're worth messing with? Any particular problem points to watch out for? Thanks for any and all info.
