I bought a new JD 5320 (55 pto HP) a couple months ago. The only parts I know for certain made in USA are the Firestone Tires.....because they say so. The engine is Hecho en Mexico. The front axle is Carraro (Italy), the rear axle says Mannheim (Germany), the lift arms and top link say made in Spain, the electrical components are Bosche..made in Spain. I was told by a JD mechanic the hydraulic lift mechanism is made in Yugoslavia, I haven't got a clue where the transmission was cobbled together but all this mess was assembled in Georgia. The 541 loader was made in Canada. Reminds me of that Cadillac Johnny Cash sang about years ago. You're going to see JD tractors made in China in the near future. I looked at a light duty JD rotary mower (bushhog) and the gearbox said Made in China. It's coming folks...might as well get used to it. All the manufacturers want to sell to us, but not pay us to make it. It's all about profit, not market competition.
