I remember on day when I was a Kid, our dog got run over, as we were getting her in the car, my Dad called that he was out of gas, after taking the dog to an old guy that fixed up sick & hurt animals ( No vets In our area), we went & took gas to Dad, he put the can in his trunk, & locked the keys in it... He walked several miles home to get spare key.. finally, about dark, we were all home, The dog was even OK.. Our family often joked about that terrible day... really it was not so bad, we were all together, & things worked out OK.... Things like that are just minor inconveniences.... We had many darker days than that..
