Here in nw Iowa the average killing frost date is 10/10. Back in the early 80's we were nipped in late August. I remember that because my beans were hailed out and re-planted in late June and they would have yeilded really well if not for the early frost. Then we have had falls where we were begging for a frost to make soybean harvest easier. I guess if I want to act like a farmer I have to moan and groan a little. Jim
