I've got one that's Dexter mother was bred to a Simmental bull. The result was a smallish cow (about 1/2 to 2/3 the size of our longhorns and herefords) with great personality, a great milker and very gentle. We've bred her to another Simmental, a Gelbviegh, and a Hereford. Her calves are huge compared to her. They usually pass her in size within 3 or 4 months, and grow to be pretty much the full size of the bull's breed. Surprisingly, she has no trouble at all throwing normal sized calves.
