First off after pulling the starter if it at all looks like a bit of dirt or oil on the bendix take a can of spray brake cleaner; $2 or less: and just wash it down very good and after it dries reinstall with all the bendix parts squeeky clean and try, do not oil, good chance that will take care of it and if not you are only out a couple of bucks and a little time and if it does not then it will be easier for the starter shop to repair
