I've used one for many years. Standard 8" stroke, although a 10" stroke would probably be better. I bought a ball end for a top link and welded it on the large end of the cylinder and got a cylinder with a plain end rod with a hole in it ( bought it from Northern Tool & Equipment). So the big end stays stationary and the rod moves. It is very handy to tip the brush hog up to clean or to back up banks. I have a pallet carrier that can be leveled or tilted. On the 3 point disc harrow, I can tilt it to put more pressure on the front gangs. On the back blade it allows me to change the blade angle to dig or drag. All from the driver's seat using a two way valve mounted on the right fender. I don't think I could go back to a manual top link.
