Dave, While I also would much rather see any debate focus on the idea and not get into name calling, I think that from this post anyway, (I did not see the original), that most of the conservative response was in defense of conservatives being called fascists and criminals. I"m not condoning of mutual name calling, but simpling offering an explaination. I probably would not have responded to the post had I not seen conservatives being called fascists. When I did, I felt that I had just as much right to insert my opinion as did the generator of this post, even though I did not attack the person, but debate the issue.
