As a kid growing up, I once worked at an auto parts store. I don't remember what it was, but had something to do with the rear axle on a GMC pickup, and I had to go crawl under it and get the number off the tag stuck to the cover on the pumpkin, per the parts manual. Made no sense to me what so ever, because could've looked up a Chevy pickup in the same manual and it was broken down by 1/2, 3/4, or 1 ton using the same axles as the GMCs. Made no sense to me, and being a dumb punk, I lost the arguement to the store manager, and under that customers truck I crawled, then came in and sold them the same part as the GVW Chevy, whatever it was. Hope the right part shows up in your mailbox, and not some O-ring for a fuel injector. Mark
