Your hydraulic cylinder is packed with a rope type packing (expensive). If the packing nut won"t turn anymore with a pipe wrench then the adjustment is probably used up and will take new packing. I have backed out the nut and used a string or twine behind the old packing and gotten by for a while. Your lift lever should be all the way up to pick up implement-then drop to center position to carry implement or all the way down to lower implement to work. Do not carry implement when traveling with lift lever all the way up-the pump is constantly loaded this way. Jack
