You gotta be kiddin' me... Dow Jones industrial average has been hovering above 10,500 and has recently been over 11,000... definitely not in record territory, but it IS sustainable... unlike the artificially high "records" we saw years ago. Unemployment is virtually non-existent (economists agree... at this level, all those who want to work ARE working... around here there are more jobs than people willing to do them!)... and the economy is so "robust", Greenspan is raising interest rates to prevent inflation and slow the economy down! Also, federal revenues are pouring in faster in than expected (but you won't hear that on the networks!)... whadda ya want??? The "Robin Hood" theory of taxation has been proven NOT to work every time it's tried... don't hold your breath for it to be implemented again any time soon!
