I seen my buds that hate the thought of marriage because of their Mom's that took off on their Dad. There are good gals out there. I was lucky and got one, but guys gotta be careful these days. Sorry to hear what you had to go through. All too common these days. Not that some guys don't do the same thing, but guys I know are all good Dad's and stepped up as #1 caretaker when Ma took off for her "new life". Hard to watch and makes it hard for kids to repect women in general.

Third Brush Generators - by Chris Pratt. While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics. I find the whole process sheer mystery. I have picked up and attempted to read every auto and farm electrics book with no improvement in the situation.
