Bill, here in Virginia there"s no problem. I use a deuce-and-a-half for a pickup. Bought it from a dealer in NC about 6 yrs ago. Showed up at DMV with the title and the only question was standard or farm plates. Then I had to get an annual safety inspection, which isn"t much here. Lights, horn, brakes, tires, wipers. The lack of muffler has never been a problem. That air horn sure wakes up everybody in the garage. Any surplus military vehicle would be the same.
