Hey Allen, Between my dad and I, we own 3 powerstrokes (7.3). A 99 350 crew, a 2000 350 crew, and a 96 250 straight cab (shop/snowplow truck). All of them have between 120,000 and 150,000 miles on them. Other than routine stuff, we haven`t had any real problems with the 350`s. The 250 we bought right, but had to stick some money in. Seems the guy before was messing around with the computer, and bent over 8 pins on the connector, new puter and she came back to life. I`m pretty sold on em. Good milage, pull really good, and not bad riding trucks. I`ve pulled about everything with mine, with no problems. BIL has an 04 350 w/6.0. That`s the only one I`ve had experience with to compare against. Seems the 6.0 is alittle guttier from a start, but I pulled the horse trailer with his, and in hills it didn`t seem to have the torque my 7.3 has. In HP and torque the 6.0 is rated higher, but we know that don`t mean everything. If I was looking for another used truck, I`d definately look at the 7.3 over the 6.0, but that`s what I`ve owned and been treated good by. Hope this helps Brokenwrench

Model numbers were introduced to help farmers and dealers instantly recognize the engine size and horsepower of the tractor, the 4/60 had a four cylinder diesel engine which developed 60 bhp at 2,000 rpm. The 3/42 had a 3 cylinder diesel engine which produced 42 bhp at 2,000 rpm. Th
