Frank I think you are on the right track. I constantly hear the same things that you reported. We drive and tow 8000#Bobcats w/Dodge Cummins. The Cummins are great, never a problem (and we have three going all the way back to '89)
I'm very easy on the accelerator, but yet at 90 to 100K, we can expect to replce the tranny. Dodge stinks, Cummins all the way.
