steering assist braking

I,m not all that much of a vintage tractor sort but I do enjoy visiting this site and was telling an old friend about it the other day. Well that started the conversation about old tractors and he was telling me about one that had cables coming off the steering shaft that ran down to the brakes and would apply either brake depending on how far wheel was turned ect. This got me curious and was wondering what kind of tractor this was or if it was something aftermarket or such. He said he thought it was a farmall and the only one he had ever seen with this setup.
