The liability issue of loaning out vehicles or trailers can get one in a heap of trouble or cost a lot more money than the borrower would like to help you out on. I have loaned these things out but no more. You even have to ask to see their drivers license cause you can not assume they have one. If there is an accident or damage they go after the registered owner. Not the borrower.
