Mark, There's no switch from draft to position control like that found on the Ford 8N. From what I've been told (and I don't fully understand it since I've never used a plow with mine yet), the TO-30 has a built-in draft control that works only with implements that engage the ground, like a plow. This automatic draft control uses pressure on the spring assembly in the top link to control or vary the height (or depth in the case of a plow). Otherwise, you either have the hydraulics raised or lowered. You can use limit chains to set the height. I use my TO-30 for finish mowing, and I'm really happy with it. Happy tractoring, Jim
