Did phones for years at a trading exchange. The futures used to be one year out from the day trades were made, hence "futures". These days speculation means this second so everyone can get a jump on making THAT killing. Tell you what Allan, seems like a long time ago that fuel was creaping up to $2.00 per gallon. Kind of wish I'd bout a few hundred gallons then. That's a sick thought, considering was paying $1.35 a gallon for deisel less than a year and half ago. Ask me, the current fuel prices were manipulated by planted or manufactured speculation again. Now blaming an anticipated 70% raise in natural gas and heating oil prices on the hurricanes. Only problem with that arguement, they were talking 70% increases months before the hurricanes. How quickly many forget, and easy they can be wrangled into "Oh yes, that's right, hurricanes". Mark
