Another reason insurance is so high is because of all the people driving without insurance. In Illinois there is a mandatory insurance law, probably 25% of the cars on the road are uninsured. Because of this, I have to carry uninsured/underinsured motorist insurance. I am sure if the state is going to make these laws, they should enforce them, it would help with some of the insurance costs. It coudl be as easy as the state requires to show an insurance card to get your license plates, then the insurance compnay has to notify the state if the policy is cancelled. The next thing would be to make it a moving violation if you are driving a car and using a cell phone, unless it is an emergency and you have to use it for your own safety. But with that law, the State police would actually have to do something beside sit along the side of the road and watch people drive by at 70-80mph in a 65mph zone. I'll shut up now, this insurance scam gets me fired up every time!!! It is legalized thievery!!! I have never seen a poor insurance agent, of course, they get paid a percentage of the policy they sell!!!

You can never have wide enough tires or heavy enough weights to get all the traction you want … unless you own a monster tractor. U
