i thought fuel pumps either worked or the didn't until i ran into intermittent fuel pump problems on my old 92 gmc sierra..i even replaced it with a brand new napa brand fuel pump..Turned out the napa brand would work but didn't put out the volume..my buddy at gm could tell by listening...i bit the bullet $$$$$ and bought a gm fuel pump...problem solved...
