I have a 1240 platless and it has done a fine job for me now going on twenty years . I did find out that they will work like they should with the correct tire and not snow tires like somany have put on them and with mine ground speed is most important . When i got mine i tore it all apart and went through it and fixed replaced anything that needed . couple years ago i had to replace the fertilizer boxes and also the augars and it is still going strong we use it even for planting the green beans in the garder just change a couple sprockets and go to it makes a nice stand of beans and easy for the wifes to get into . If ya don't have the BOOK for it get one and fallow it to the letter and it will give ya good service .
