I have this JD4010 with a loader that has been an absolute money pit the last 18 months and over the summer has developed a thirst for oil at a rate of about a quart every 2 hours at approx. 1500rpm. I have worked on everything but the engine and now that seems next. I don"t need the loader because I have a newer JD with a loader, MFWD and cab. I have found a good shape MF1105 and can trade in the 4010 and get the MF for about $4000. The MF is about 20 more horsepower and 15 year newer. Trying to think why this isn"t a good idea. We had MF tractors on the farm when I was a kid. Anybody know any strong reasons why it isn"t time to stop bleeding money on the 4010?
