ot chewin dog

i got a new pup (about 6 months old) that loves coutches he has chewed up three of them i am looking for a way to get him to stop chewing he is starting to get the pitbull chewing again too he is a great dog but i dont think anything really registers in his head hes not too bright any suggestions other that removing his teeth would be greatly appricated
