Thanks for the equipment info. I printed it out in case I ever install a generator (which I doubt). This did come to mind, however. My power went off one time and inasmuch as power failures here are rare and then finding out that my neighbors all had power, I called Wis Pub Serv & asked them why they had cut off my power. The lady told me politely but firmly "we never cut off anyone's power"! Crew came out and fixed problem in about 30 min. Turned out it was a crack in a unit mounted on the transformer pole that, in the words of the lineman, "is the thing that protects us from you". A reverse current device that had no moving parts. I had no idea there was such a thing in place but am not surprised considering all of the electrical geniuses online that use generators. Thanks again.
