Hi All,

Were making headway now. Late Saturday night he passed something, we couldn't tell what but gees did it smell bad.

Sunday he still didn't look good tho and quit drinking water and had me even more worried so late last night I couldn't stand not trying something more.

I mixed about 75mg of a cephalexin 500mg capsule, in 12cc of water and forced fed that into his stomach.

I then mixed up some tuna oil, small amount of tuna, ceral dog food and water in a blender. Force fed 12cc this morning then repeated in about 2hrs.

He's now eating and drinking on his own this afternoon. He actually played a bit with the other pup but quickly wore himself out. Were going to keep force feeding him our mix for a couple days along with the antibiotic.

The vet recomended tetracycline 500mg capsules, given at about 100mg doses but we've had a great response with cephalexin on our other dogs. Just don't use too much at one time as they react very quickly to this antibiotic.

We got to thinking late last night that our Lab had bitten the pup on the nose, drew blood, a couple weeks back as the puppy was harrasing the "bigdog". We now think that this was nothing more than an infection from that bite.

Today's Featured Article - George's Fordson Major - by Anthony West (UK). This is a bit of a technical info to add on to the article about George's Major in the "A Towny Goes Plowing" article. George bought his Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00. There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken by Harold alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that the major was produced late 19 ... [Read Article]
