They are one maker's part numbers for the U-joints. HP rating increases with the number. Actually should be a torque rating. My CT catalog says the numbers come from Waesler. Typically 6N is used for light loads like a sickle mower, 12n and 14N for 30 hp loads at 540... 55N is the hulker of the series. But the references within reach don't say what the HP ratings are.
