I'm pretty sure that all the Ferguson stuff was all grey. I've read somewhere that Harry used "Battleship Grey" that was surplused from the British Navy, probably in drums. Don't know if there is any truth to that claim. And also, the article said that the batches weren't always exactly the same so there was some variation in the greys that were used over the years. If that were true, then the "color police" would have a difficult time getting a conviction on any Fergie owner accused of having the wrong color grey. And while we're at it, is that GREY or GRAY? I think both spellings are considered correct.
