Tire repair?

While pushing snow today with the tractor. I backed over a 3/4inch peace of rebar and punctured
the rear tire. A pie shaped hole about the size of my thumb between the cleats. Tire shop said can't fix. New 11.2x24 $149.00 + tube.
Tire had less than 190 hours run time on it. Anyone have any ideas for a farm fix on this?
