OT A Bit , Where is the Gas Filter??

Recently purchased a New 2005 Chevy 3500 1 Ton 6 Liter Gas Flatbed. While Looking it over underneath I wondered where is the gas filter. There is none. They used to be on the frame rail under the drivers door. I have asked several people at my Dealers and have not yet recieved a good explanation for this. Now just what happens if you get some water or crud in the gas?? Anyone out there had this problem yet? Thanks CB48
