You can still haul oversize farm equipment in Indiana during daylight hours without a permit as long as you're not on the interstate (which makes no sense whatsoever) I've never been stopped for it, and when stopped for some other reason they never said a thing about the load, as long as it was properly marked and secured. In Illinois you don't need a permit at all. Iowa is about the same as Ohio on the annual permit.
