I asked for suggestions, not stupidity. I can assure you the dog is no longer scared since it's now in a comfortable environment and not about to become food for an aligator or a hawk.
As for you Holliday (is black Friday a holliday?), if I found you on the side of the road I'm fairly sure I would leave you lie, possibly even nudge you farther out into the road to make a better target. If you don't have anything good to say, I suggest you don't say anything.
