John Deere, I doubt that one would do over 25 with a after market road gear and the govenor pulled back. I have read about the Simpson Jumbo tractor used for oval track racing that could hit around 80 mph. I dont doubt it a bit do to the fact that I have a 1950 Custom tractor with a in line 8 cyl Chrysler flat head motor that will flat get with the program. I never had it above 45 to 50 mph only because that is fast enough for me. If I was to guess it would run around 60 + mph at 4000 rpm. The awesome thing about it is it will do this in a drag race with a track length of 200 feet long. The only problems I have is shifting the New Process transmission corectly to do this. One of our games we do at the tractor rodeo is a drag race. We run one tractor at a time. Fastes time wins.
