old- Know how you feel; sometimes I wonder why I'm doing this. But then I just step back away from it all for a few days or weeks and the change of scenery/pace is a big help and then I find myself back on the tractors again. So give it a break for awhile but don't bail out. You'll regret it. I'll tell you one conclusion I've arrived at though; I like to get my tractors all mechanically up to par but I've quit feeling that they have to look like an "expo quality" tractor. That's fine for those who want to do that but I appreciate an honest, mechanically good, working tractor more than a "trailer queen." For instance: we will be taking tractors to the local mall for "Farm Days in February. I told my son last night that this year I'm taking "Lucy," our mechanically good, straight and sound 52 JD B. She doesn't have a fresh coat of paint; rather, she looks like a 54 year old working tractor would look---clean but with faded green. Time for the "mall yuppies" to see what an honest ractor looks like!
