i don't have any practical knowledge of the JCB machine, but i was in your position 5 or 6 years ago and was advised not to buy one as their earlier machines were of inferior quality. I looked at a lot of machines before settling on a 1988 416 Cat that had what seemed like a ton of hours on it (9000) but turned out to be an exellent machine.In my search,I found Cat machines to be of a higher quality and superior design. My 2 pennies.
