last september I plowed 22 acres with my 1650 and a white 4-16 semimounted plow. This ground went into government ground around 1984 and two small patches (5 acres) had been in hay since 1981. Then was hay ground every year. Last five years just got hogged off. It was extremely dry and very hard where a gas line repair crew had driven on it in the spring when it was wet. Plowed in 2cd under at 2400 rpm started out in 2cd direct and blew a head gasket was running warm so slowed down and plowed before daylight to noon. ran 10" deep and did good in it except the section where the pipe line repair crew drove at. Going east could plow it by ramming the throttle against the stop and picking the plow up about 2 inches it was rolling boulders out. Going west the plow popped on top of the ground and slid across the tracks then went back in. Back tires loaded one weight on each side starter and two slabs on the front. When plowing the last couple of rounds against the fence was in 1st with the front end up by every tree plowing out roots and sometimes had to push the clutch in or flip over. Central Ohio did get rain on it so we could work the ground up and plant wheat. Want to plow it again this year and then should be able to just disk for a few years. will be wheat each year. Ron
