The 4010 has a PTO stub shaft bolted to the out- put shaft on the rear of the tractor-- keep the 4 bolts tight- check them often and never force the shaft in tight without rotating it--if the shaft runs loose it will bend a pin inside the tractor that shifts the PTO from 540 to 1000 rpms---if you bend this pin you get to split the tractor to replace it --only bad thing I've got to say about the 4010--they changed this on the 3020--4020--don't know much about AC --I started workin' at a JD dealer in 72
