as much as it curdles my blood to say this, given the two choices you should get the deere. the allis will kill your checkbook everday when you fill it up. the dealer network is also much better for the deere. with a rebuilt motor as you say it will serve you well for along time, gassers seem to peter out much sooner. too bad you couldn't find a nice farmall ;>}
