Yep, I'm pingin' the address. When I do, that hard drive on the '98 machine just "rattles", but the Win XP machine doesn't seem to catch an answer back. I've played with the duplexing til I'm black in the face.. The only way it will make the Win '98 machine show up is with it set to 100-full duplex (which it is). It is something in this Win XP setup, 'cause I can reboot to Win 2K and all is well on the same darned machine (different drive and OS). Dunno, Allan
