If you get last years seed, insist on a discount of no less than 10%. Yes, it will still grow but your germination percentage will drop. I sowed some about 2 weeks ago and used "fresh" seed as the dealer would only knock 5% off for year old seed. Just out of curiousity, how much are they asking per pound? I paid $1.40 here in southern Illinois. Last year it was $1.00.
