My brother had a 80-something Dodge 3/4 ton 4x4 with a 318 for a long time. A couple of years ago he replaced it with a new Dodge 3/4 ton 4x4 with the hemi--there is no comparison. The hemi is a WHOLE BUNCH more powerful than the old truck and gets about 5 mpg better gas mileage. I would guess that the new truck will go 0 to 60 in less than half the time it took his old truck. My brother has taken his new truck to Alaska and to Arizona, both trips carrying his big old heavy camper. The only real problem he had was finding gas north of Fairbanks--most of the few fuel stops only had diesel. He just couldn't justify buying the Cummins for more than $5000 more than he paid for the hemi. He kept his last truck for almost 20 years and it didn't quite have 100,000 miles on it when he traded it in. Everything I have read or heard about the hemi has been positive. Good luck!

A good friend and I were recently discussing our tractor electrical systems when he stated "I figure it all comes back to applying Ohms Law". At this point
