It seems to me that the places I frequent to get parts seem to get a young man, or sometimes a young woman, who is very "green". They work for a year or so, start getting pretty good and then they move on to a different job. 90% of the time when I go to get parts, I have the part number. The rest of the time, I go with Model #'s and serial #'s, and try to make their job as easy as possible, although I know that a lot of people are not this way.
